RHYTHM + FLOW S2
WINNER · $250K

DreTL bet on himself. We opened the door.

DreTL came on the show early, put in the work, and showed up. When the call came to submit for Netflix's Rhythm + Flow, we were able to make the connection — and he ran with it. He won Season 2, took home $250K in front of Ludacris, Latto, and DJ Khaled. The talent was always his. We're a pathway. A resource. A platform for our community.

Frequently asked.

How long until I hear back?+
We review submissions on a rolling weekly basis. If you're a fit, our team reaches out directly via the Instagram handle you submitted. If you don't hear back within 3-4 weeks, assume we're either full on the schedule or saving you for a future opportunity — feel free to resubmit with new material.
Is there a cost to be featured?+
Yes. We invest a lot of time, production, and reach into every feature, and we do charge artists to come on the platform. Here's how it works: we review every submission carefully, and if it's a good fit we'll send over pricing and scheduling options directly. We're refining this process as we grow, but for now that's the flow.
Can I submit more than once?+
Yes, but be strategic. Send us your best material — one strong video beats five mid ones. If you have new music or a new visual, resubmitting is welcomed.
Where do shoots happen?+
Most freestyles and acapella sessions are shot in-studio. The Corner segments are shot on location. Interviews can be either. Travel logistics are discussed case-by-case with selected artists.
Do I need to be signed to a label?+
Nope. Independent, signed, upcoming — we don't care about the paperwork. We care about the talent and the movement around you.
What makes a strong submission?+
Clear, well-shot video. Real bars or real vocal performance — not a lip sync or a promo clip. Your best verse, not your newest. A working Instagram we can verify. That's it.
§ 06 — The Founders
Z. Rich Mike Sick

Built by artists. For artists.

High Off Life was started by Z. Rich in York, PA back in 2006. A few years later, Z met Mike Sick in Atlanta — and the rest was history.

Mike cut his teeth in Atlanta hosting The Bar Exam and The Freestyle Experiment, bringing MCs to A3C and SXSW. Z. Rich grew a Facebook audience to 1.5M followers and built the marketing engine behind everything. No executives, no gatekeepers — just two founders filming, hosting, editing, and promoting every episode themselves.

"The underground runs through us." — Mike Sick
